L has a decent amount of foods to choose from for dinner. This is what we decided on:
lemonade
salad of:
leaf
lettuce
lenti
ls
legumes (various beans/ peas)
lemongrass
lemon poppyseed dressing
lasagna with:
lobster
lox
leek
lemon meringue pie
Lindors (had wanted to try lychee or loquats, but couldn't find any. Chocolate is an adequate substitute, right?)

A note re: the lobster. I am not a fan of the idea of cooking a lobster alive; and there was definitely no way I was going to do it at home, myself. I researched it before we went to the store today and found some ideas to get around this. Apparently its done because the lobsters release a toxin once they are dead but uncooked. My first choice was to just buy frozen lobster (which, granted, was probably still cooked alive, but at least I didn't have to do it.) However, Laura has been interested in the live lobsters in the tank at the store since she was a baby, so after double checking they would cook them there for you, I agreed to let her choose a lobster from the tank. She also got to carry it home in the box after it was cooked, which she was pretty excited about. The lasagna turned out super yummy, though a little soupy. It thickened up as it cooled, so maybe I just needed to let it rest a little longer.
